Liurnia I

The first I meet in Liurnia is...
She looks like her, speaks like her, but Irina died. I saw her butchered corpse.
This Hyetta acts nice, though. She seeks a distant light, aided by Shabriri grapes. I offered her mine.

I met Boc again, the kind demi-human tailor also travels north. With his guidance, I chose a new outfit; of course covering my face.
With my strength gained from Godfrey, I can now incant and wield the grafted greatsword of Morne. The frenzy flames, used often, drive me madder than usual.

A nice, humble sorcerer in this church. He is Thops, a student of Raya Lucaria, locked out during the shattering. Refreshingly kind, after haughty Sellen. If I find these glintstone keys Thops mentions, we may enter the academy.

So-called cuckoo knights guard the lakes. Cuckoo indeed, to challenge me!

These multi-limbed crawlers ring wraith-calling bells. They are slow but painful. I hear that sleeping omen are afflicted by wraiths, nightmares every night.

After stomping through a poison-swamp cave, I fought this rotting knight. Never seen one like them before.

A finger-reader, struggling to proselytize even in Liurnia. She says what others already repeated. How much does she really read, in my fingers or the Two?

Diavolos found his missing servant. He says his family's history is written in blood; I wonder, that of the house or its enemies?

Varre offered me gifts and advice again. Now, even the building behind him reeks of blood. A little smoke, too?

Slaughtered misbegotten, on the western lake shore...

Edgar driven mad, attacked me. I am sorry, Irina.

An albinauric village, slaughtered almost to the last. The only survivor gave me half a medallion, to a tree he calls paradise.
Apostles, albinaurics, omen, demi-humans and misbegotten, all the unusual or artifical is oppressed in these lands between.

Crystalians, floatings guards over glintstone.

The glintstone dragon, behind whom I found a key to the Academy. Inside are wizards, books and another great rune. The hunt continues.

The Academy of Raya Lucaria. Never gone to school before, first time for all!

Treading through the academy town, there were pikemen and flamethrowers. Do all schools have such high security?

Another onyx lord. They likely did crash to the lands between; perhaps all glintstone fell as a meteor, once. Wait... does that mean all the lakes of Liurnia is a...?

I found one of these glint, sorcerer masks. An... unorthodox choice. I want to cover my face, but this is excessive.

Oblivious, book-obsessed weirdoes in their natural habitat.

A tortoise! He offered to teach me incantations, even when I showed my affinity for blackflame. He says heresy is a contrivance, that all can be conjoined.
I wish I could agree; but reconciliation with Gold is impossible. I refuse to forgive Marika.

What arcane, wretched rituals did these sorcerers conduct, to know the stars?

A battle against Rennala, queen of the full moon; or an illusion of her.

The queen of magic, mourning her loss of Radagon. Why did he abandon her?

The tallest tower in Raya Lucaria. So high, the lakes are shrouded in fog.

When I reentered Roundtable Hold, that skully Ensha attacked me! Despite being his master, Gideon claimed to know nothing. Sure...

Roderika seems happier now, as a spirit-tuner. Hewg talked to her, seems.

The mines of Liurnia.

As I approach Caria manor, Iji the smith welcomed me! First nice giant I meet, using his hammer to beat metal, rather than me.
He warned against me entering the manor, fortified by spells. Nothing my robustness can't pass.

In the manor, after battling past giant hands, another Carian giant knight. I hear that the giants and sorcerers once lived together as neighbors, on a snowy mountaintop. Even with many giants enslaved by Marika, their magic alliance endures.

Loretta, a seeming illusion blocking my way. Though, every other jockey I fought toppled from their horse. Like the Golden Tree Sentinel, Loretta never left her steed. Are they chained together?

We meet again, the witch Renna revealed to be Ranni. Cold and mysterious, as the winter moon. Pretty too.
I accepted joining her service; she also harbors a grudge against Marika, seemingly.

Precept Seluvis. I distrust him already, though he serves Ranni. Strangely, I only see cloth behind his mask.

The basement ruins of the manor, littered with puppets. They seem to be Seluvis's.

The last manor resident I found, an albinauric who lost his legs. Also surrounded by puppets. Does he work with Seluvis, or...?

Adan, thief of fire, locked in an evergaol. Deemed heretical and pursued, for stealing the "Flame of the Fell God." What did he want to burn? From his armor, I assume him a former flame monk.
I will fare better than him.
I will fare better than him.

The Lakeside Crystal Cave.

Latenna, an albinauric who rode her wolf. Dejected until I showed her the half-medallion entrusted to me. Said that a home awaited albinaurics and the forlorn, far to the north, Miquella's Haligtree. To go there with me, she joins in spirit ash form.

After finding a second glintstone key in Raya Lucaria, I returned to Thops. He is happy to return to his studies. He will become a great sorcerer, I am sure, and the only one who doesn't hate me! Now, to put this crown to good use...

With the "wisdom" pose taught to me by Thops and the crown, the towers of Liurnia yield their treasure to me. What a strange protective enchantment.

The gates to Altus Plateau are close. Some defenders are in the way, but that never stopped me before.
